Women in Energy Sector: Februray Training Sessions by DOOR
DOOR organized a series of training sessions in February 2025 to promote knowledge-sharing, networking, and discussions on gender policies within the energy sector.
Training for Women in the Energy Sector – Employees
On February 11, 2025, a live training session was held in Zagreb for ten female employees from two private companies. The session covered key insights from market research on women in the energy sector across EUWES pilot countries. Additionally, results from an anonymous survey on women’s experiences in the industry were discussed.
Training for Women in the Energy Sector – Private Sector
On February 20, 2025, a live training session took place in Zagreb with a female director. The session focused on leadership challenges in a male-dominated industry, ethical codes in small companies, and gender equality and anti-discrimination measures.
Training for Women in the Energy Sector – Private Sector
On February 21, 2025, another live training session in Zagreb featured a female director and a female student. Discussions included industry challenges for women, ethics in gender equality, and the importance of mentorship and networking.
Training for Women in Energy – NGO Perspectives
On February 24, 2025, an online training session was held in Zagreb with four NGO employees (KLIK and CGBC). The topics covered included the influence of NGOs on gender policies and advocacy for gender equality in the energy sector.
Training for Women in Energy – NGO and Authorities Perspectives
On February 25, 2025, an online training session was conducted in Zagreb with six women from NGOs and authorities (ZEZ, CGBC, REGEA, Caritas, Ombudsman (Office for Human Rights and Rights of National Minorities), City of Zagreb – Head of the Department for the Implementation of Social Welfare Rights). Discussions centered on the role of NGOs in gender equality advocacy and ensuring women’s voices are heard in policy-making.

On February 26, 2025, another live session in Zagreb featured three NGO employees from ODRAZ. Topics included gender policies in the workplace and the role of NGOs in fostering inclusivity.
Training for Women in the Energy Sector – Private Sector
On February 28, 2025, a live training session was held in Zagreb with two women from STEM faculties. Discussions focused on gender roles in technical fields, women’s participation statistics in the energy sector, and gender perceptions in career opportunities.
