Title: Online workshop for Gender mainstreaming in energy policies

Date: November 20,2024, 10.00-11.30 CET

Guaranteeing an equitable and inclusive energy transition goes beyond implementing technical and economic policies; it necessitates a comprehensive consideration of their social impact to prevent the emergence of new inequalities and exclusionary dynamics.

Together with the gender and energy expert Serafina Funk from the German Renewable Energy Federation (BEE e.V.), WECF e.V. offers on Wednesday 20th November, 10.00-11.30 CET an online workshop to support the development of gender-just energy policies.

What can you expect from this workshop?

👉 Delve into the definition, importance and essential outcomes of gender mainstreaming in energy policies.

👉 Discover the essential outcomes and the current status of gender mainstreaming in German energy policies.

👉 Learn how to evaluate if your policy or programme is gender-responsive, develop gender check-points and indicators, and analyze methodologies.

👉   Participate in interactive sessions, explore key policy recommendations, and engage in a Q&A to deepen your understanding and implementation of gender-responsive energy policies.

Policies can lay the normative and regulatory fundament to change the energy system into a gender-just energy system.
