On 15th and 16th of November, a partnership meeting and training were held within the EUWES project – Empowering underrepresented women in the energy sector.
Discussions included the following conducted activities:
- Methodology for mapping gender policies and key stakeholders in the energy sector.
- Reports on mapping conducted in Croatia, Germany, Slovenia and Spain.
Partner organizations exchanged the results of mapping policies, laws, measures, and plans related to gender equality in the energy sector in each country, based on which comparative analyses of the situation in each country will be prepared.
Discussions also revolved around mapping the relevant stakeholders and interviews conducted in each country.
In addition, next steps were presented as upcoming activities. These include:
- Development of national advocacy plans to conduct campaigns of increasing the visibility and representation of women in the energy sector.
- Development of educational materials for training implementation and the implementation of the training itself for employers and decision-makers, as well as for women employed in the energy sector and female students in technical faculties.
The following day, the partner organization from SPain, ESF, organized a capacity-building training for the participating organizations in the project:
- Training on feminist moderation
- Training on gender-energy-nexus
The project leader is DOOR (Croatia), with partner organizations: FOCUS (Slovenia), ESF (Spain), and WECF (Germany).
